Trader P/L 2014

+5 net

That was choppy, choppy for me. I got diced up on my first couple of trades. I let that affect me mentally. I foolishly used super tight stops on my next two trades, only to be stopped out and then see my targets hit. I've been much better about trading the trades, but I let my emotions mess with my judgment a bit today. Fortunately, I caught some wins and got my money back. It's not much, but it is so much better than being red.

There are those who trade... and those who charge $25 per month (or discounted $770.00 for 3 years subs) for their "services" on their website.

I care little for his service, the point is that changing one's stops/targets, assuming one has already modeled their trades and has a given expectancy with each trade, just messes up the model and the probs... so while I don't subscribe to his service, I found what he says of value to some extent and I think that chuck will as well.

btw, that is not to say that at times changing the stops/targets is not beneficial... just not as a result of fear but rather as a result of analysis and time ...

Fair enough.

Unfortunately my pet hate is "gurus" marketing directly or indirectly their paid "services" and I could not help but interject.

Kind Regards

Mildly positive day. VIX curve sharpened again but I shorted the market - still had my SDS position - and some other stuff worked out, so net green. Futures curve has gotten zany far as I'm concerned, but I have a feeling sellindexvol66 would disagree. Certainly his P/L does.
In other news, TOS did an update to their software and screwed up all my settings, have spent a decent part of today fixing that, hence the delay in posting this.

I just work and make my best guesses. Possibly you see zaniness due expiration week coming..maybe some repositioning going on with the bigger players :D

Yeah yeah yeah. Kumquat.
It's alright. I'd be hugely surprised (delighted of course too) if I did better than you, but I'm not silly enough to think that's gonna happen. Green is good. This will be my first full year doing this w/the VIX, so I'll be happy with that.
