It was a tough one for me today. I was trying to play things a little tighter, but sort of ended up churning by jumping in and out. Also, had an order mistake that made me sell and have to buy back at a worse price costing me a few dollars.
Once again, I was forcing trades. I'm am going to make a commitment to trading my pre-planned trades. I keep doing it for a week or so and then not doing it and taking some and not others. This week would have been a great week if all I did was take my pre-planned trades. I need to just stick with my research. It was just that everyday I kept thinking that the market didn't have the energy left to go up more. I would ignore my trade setups thinking it would just be a fake out. But I would just get more and more frustrated by watching my ideas work and not being in them.
I'll be on vacation next week. It will be a nice break to clear my mind and come back refreshed and ready to go. I might trade Monday. I will post if I do.
I'm pretty new to daytrading, been only a few months for me, I'm down pretty big from doing all the random things in the beginning. So I'm just trying to claw my way back. Just found this topic and thought it was interesting.
