Trader P/L 2013

Man, that was a lame day. There were so many BS moves and a whole lot of nothing happening. I overtraded and took a number of small losses. I also almost had a heart attack trading some after hours earnings, but only took a small ding from that.

I was up a decent amount and thought I was going to have a very good day. Then my trades reversed on me. Maybe I'm being too greedy. I'm trying to ride my trades to my targets, but have just been seeing winners turn into losers or decent profits evaporate.

I need to go to the office, so I'm shutting it down.

i will try not to take any more trades after 3pm, no matter how tempting they seem. got burned twice again. luckily, i'm still up a few bucks for the day.

I've spent all month with my intraday P/L bouncing between positive and negative. Also, my monthly P/L has been bouncing back and forth from positive to negative.

Today, I got my monthly P/L positive a paltry amount. With two days left in the month and the FOMC on Wednesday, I'm going to shut it down. Psychologically, I'd just like to know I had a positive month. The next two days are probably not going to be good trading days with the FOMC coming up. Also, taking a couple of days off from trading will most likely be good for me. I'll be back on August 1.

It feels good psychologically, but it is a bad idea if your method is sound. You never know when that huge day is around the corner, and you always need to keep yourself in a position to experience it.
 
Still working on my mental/emotional side of trading. Did not take a bunch of good trades because of hesitation/doubt.
