So you're running more than 50% gains frequently. Have you ever had a 50% or more loss?

I will ass ume the account is a fraction of your potential trading capital.

I trade a smaller account (40k) and operate at a lower % of buying power (considering leverage). I trade exclusively stocks and once in a while options. Most trades are done with 200-500 shares. Although a lot of my P&Ls posted here aren't impressive by many standards, often in the $100/day range, I am satisfied with my progress and consistency.

Being a rookie still (<3years), my primary concern is preservation of capital and managing risk. I've come a long way from my days of consistent losses. I work my own strategy and put a lot of work in after hours analysing and trying to build on it. I enjoy being part of this board and seeing how others are doing. I don't care much about % returns of others, but I find it inspiring when someone can pull $1000+/day from the market.
 
It was a wimpy month for the Tailz fund.

Started adding size and made a couple minor mistakes while calibrating the strategy to new markets :eek:

less than 1/2 of march, 1/5 of january take. took a week off for spring break...during the only vol week of month..maybe that had something to do with it..or maybe i would have done worse. who knows.

just gonna keep grinding away as usual nonetheless.

nice job guys who have the balls to post in a difficult market.
