Trader P/L 2013

Hi guys, do you mind if I join the thread?

November was not a great month for me and this first week of December did not start off too well either.

Will post my daily PnL here going forward for public scrutiny, at least until I feel satisfied I have sorted out my current spell of impetuosity.

A good day today. Was quite amused watching ES briefly selling off after the good NFP numbers.

It was slow and choppy, but I did see my opportunities to make money. Unfortunately, I made an entry error and took an unecessary loss. I had some risk on from another position and was unable to enter in any new positions because it would put me over my risk exposure limit. I ended up missing a couple of good trades because of that mistake. I had to stick to my risk rules, though.

It was a good trading day for me. Unfortunately, I had another one get to within a few cents of my target and then reverse. I still won on it, but I ended up makes much less then if it had just gone a few cents more.

Could not get my head around trading today. Bullish bias coupled with late entries on missed setups caused no end of issues. Single gold scalp kept me out of the red.

Lately, I've been doing a pretty good job of not overtrading. Today, I shot off a few too many sketchy trades. I took a couple of early losses and then made a trade mistake by entering while looking at the wrong chart. I couldn't find any good setups, so I started getting into some not so good trades. Without the lame trades, I probably would have been about break even to slightly up. It actually may have been a good day because taking dumb trades uses up risk that could have been allocated later on when something good shows up.
