Volatile week with disappointing results. The only positive thing now is consistency.

Started off with a loser...crawled my way back to the green!! Left some money on the table since I had to get back to my day job...:|

i lost about $20k this month. Was trading SLV, everythng was going great, then I got greedy. Tried to pickup pennies in front of a steamroller.

Was long a bunch of August calls, then decided to short the market overnight by selling a bunch of short-dated "weekly" call options that were expiring the next day. Stock popped overnight, my portfolio got drowned. And I had to buy back the calls before they got assigned and I had a margin liquidation.

Anyway, another lesson. I always lose money when I get overconfident and think I can outsmart the market. I trade SLV alot and I got lazy in my process.

Really sucks to make a mistake like that and only have your idiot self to blame. Lost $20k trying to pickup $2k overnight.

This is about the 4th time something like this has happened to me. The first time I almost had a nervous breakdown. The second time I was physically ill. Now? I just move on.

I am not a rich man.
 
Hey, props to you for posting that up, not a lot of people would put themselves out there like that, most people want to always put up the big gains and winners, so i give you a lot of credit for owning up to it. just learn from it and keep it moving.
