dolphins,

what are your regular trading hours since i see you usually done around US EST RTH. i am in EST time zone and have to work, perhaps i can get up around 3am to trade through 8am US EST time.

are you trading anything else besides CL?

Shorted a gap up at the open and had $100 for 15 minutes or so then a symmetrical triangle started forming then it breached the top slope but i stubbornly held on. I thought of taking the $100 and going long early on!!! :mad:

I trade (pre-open) and between 3:00 and 5:30 am eastern time. I'm concentrating on CL for now:p

Hey Rol. I trade without stops, while most here would ridicule me for this - it simply works better for my approach. I've done the same strats with stops and it was just open season for me by the HFT folk. I've taken large losses because of this, a 20%+ loss just last friday and I'm mentally prepared to take the next one.
Trade count/share number varies a lot, today I did 19k shares with 47 executions. Held a maximum of 21 positions at once.

1. why do you say NASDAQ is best market in world for stock trading?
2. what do you mean by "it was just open season for me by the HFT folk". Sorry couldn't follow you here at all.

Actually bad trading, especially this year.
NASDAQ is fully electronic and there are no "specialists" interfering with fair market. That said, I'll most likely trade the big board too as/if the size grows.
Posting my stops even as iceberg signals the high frequency guys to trade around me, I'm very sensitive to slippage. This isn't a problem in the less thin areas, obviously.
