Trader P/L 2011

Zr1Trader, thanks. Not an easy year, the summer was particularly challenging and it's evident from the equity curve as well. Missed a lot of days due to traveling and spending months abroad, as always, those were all without exception very good days. Despite that, I ended up 133% for the year with max DD at 16%.
Note that I post daily blotters in USD while my base is EUR.
Happy new year to most of you :)

Well done for the year D08!

You're completely automated correct? How many different strats are you running at once and in how many different markets?

Cl today...

Was up $3500 after first 2 moves then lost some gains later trying to be a hero on the last day this year.

$+1036

See you all next year.

I'm not completely automated but I could be fairly easily. I'm a control freak, so while I don't really make any discretionary decisions, I do press the "Transmit" button.
I started the year with 2 equity strategies (NASDAQ) and 2 futures strategies (TF and ES), of which I stopped one because of the diminished edge. My focus is definitely on equities, futures playing a small supporting role. Only US markets as of now, although I would like to trade Tokyo but as of now IB's commission rate isn't really attractive.
I wish they'd use all that cash they spend on Bloomberg ads on product development instead - either in the form of lower commissions or adding new markets (Korea, Taiwan), one can dream.
