Today was my first day trading "live"
I screwed up big time!
Opening balance was 13705.95 and now 13157.45
I have been a given a chance to trade on my mother's account and I put in 4000 at the beginning of the year. The rest is profit from my father's trading.
My screw up was that we( my friends are invovled) got caught and we took a loss...I told my father what happened and he kicked us out of the house until we figured what we did wrong.
We figured it out,even though we never had the problem when we were doing it in simulated trading. It was stinking timing.My father hinted to us this may happen.We did not listen.
It was not our system,my father actually likes it,but our execution in real time.We simply made every mistake under the sun and blew the top off by going the wrong way!!
End result was we had to put in hours of 'sim' trading it get it right. We will not make the same error again. It was we tried to trade 2 different commidites at the same time.
Tomorrow's result should be better.
We have a good strategy and trade/money managent controls,but we simply lost control!!
