Trader P/L 2010

Quote from jinxu:

Right now my account is at a price level where I can afford to buy 2 contracts. I am wondering whether I should do that or take some profits out to pay off cc debt+rent???

You should not double your size at your current equity level. It is too low. One or two straight bad trades and you will be bumped back to trading one lots again, which may or may not have a psychological effect on your approach. Better to build the equity up to at least 1500 (some will say 2-3k) before looking to increase size. At least give yourself some cushion for the inevitable bad trade.

JMO.

Even Robert Weinstein has not been posting for some time now, not even in his own journal thread, not sure wat's happening to the rest

I only see jinxu posting on a regular basis now. All the excitement and discussions are now gone! :(

Most are too lazy to post, I stopped posting coz it requires too much effort to take a pic and paste it here, plus no body helps me make $$$ so why share my success/loss ...pointless.

Today was another milestone. I am now up over 100% from $700 a few weeks ago.

I am up $210. The move was really only a 100 dollar move, but I accidentally ordered in 2 contracts. I meant to entered only one contract. But it just happened. Luckily it worked out and I had the instinct to get out when I did as the YM reversed soon after I exited.

It looks like we're gonna get that big crash that everyone's waiting for. I can't believe I'm doing this on a day like this but I'm satisfied with what I made already and gonna use the rest of the day to take a break from trading. It's probably a sign anyways that I made exactly 1300 and 1500 after commissions for the past two days.

Later and good luck everyone.

Lot of seesaw action for my P/L the last couple of weeks--overall break even, not counting commissions.
. . . but it is nice to end today with a decent gain.

Per a comment on a previous post about why posting a blotter: I've found that posting a blotter helps me to be disciplined with keeping track of how I am doing, and that seems to help me make fewer frivolous trades.

Keep posting guys. It's nice to see the progress.

Been quite unmotivated lately and trading like a donkey but today was decent.

Getting a little tired of seeing so much volume go off at prices I can't enter bids or offers at like $12.7899. Especially in thinner traded issues.

is that just today?
even for the week; awesome result

+$1332

This was a milestone day in my 1-lot challenge; I took a record number of ticks in CL today despite only trading a portion of my signals. I traded no long signals, being the stubborn biased SOB that I am; OK, maybe not an SOB, maybe just a B :p

Have a good weekend all!

Right there you have summed up your hold-up: you're a Short-Only Babe. Still you shouldn't call yourself a babe, that's demeaning to women. :D

Congrats on your soon to be outdated new record :)

(Excellent post on the through the looking glass thread, btw).
