How you made 25k today in gawdawful ES is beyond me. It only had about a 12-point range today during RTH. You had to be moving some pretty good size for that kind of a scoop. I imagine you played it in and out, and not all of it was profitable. (How could it be? It's ES.) However, just for context, to make that kind of money today in ES, you'd have to have carried about 40 contracts for the entire range.

Gabfly, if my memory serves me correct, you should already know how I trade since you and I have hung out together in the CL Redux thread. Anyway, if you want to know how I traded ES today, I welcome you to check out my realtime trades posted in the ES Journal thread. Moreover, if you would like to learn about my "philosophy of flipping", I recommend that you look into my previous incarnation (aka "saliva").

On a serious note, I've been pretty lucky lately. I just happened to nail the market direction for the last few days, which was also mentioned in the ES Journal.
 
I remind everyone this thread is for posting your trading blotters, not for posts regarding psychology, various trading vehicles, so-called helpful advice, etc. etc. etc. There are a zillion other threads at ET where those discussions are appropriate, but this is not one of them. Watching Schizo flipping ES, long , short and again and agin without any hesitation is truly amazing. I believe it takes a lot of experience, strong mentality and technical preparations to do that. One thing that is very impressive is he doesn't show any market bias and he always strike in the right direction as soon as the price moves in that direction. He of course has very strong convictions about the market but he never let the conviction/prediction affect his ability to follow the right trend, and his technical analyses expertise enables him to make most of the correct decisions. When he realized he was on the wrong side, he flipped without any delay and join the profitable side. He is the one who can truly operate in such a way without burden. Truly amazing!
 
No blotter today. had to run to work quickly. Terrible day. The chop killed me. Options ex week is certianly a pain for me.

I'll post a blotter later today if anybody cares.

-90. I seem to lose a bunch early and then try to dig myself out the rest of the day. Even though it's reverse for most good traders, I seem to do poorly in the morning session and decent the rest of the day.
