I don't believe I could've traded better today. CL in an uptrend, went long pivot off a dip to a higher low and sat on my hands until it made a higher high and hit my target. Toughest thing I’ve done especially when price ticked up a bit, then down into the red a bit. I told myself I was with-trend, don’t move stop too quick. Trust paid off as my target was lifted.

Short off a lower high, stopped out on a head fake spike, but the spike still left a lower high from the HOD and sold off quickly, then failed once more, leaving another LH, so I shorted again at almost the same price, set an initial target, sellers seemed hot, so moved target down and made a nice gain on that one.

Shorted 2 more stalls at the falling 20-bar MA, placed targets a few ticks above previous lows and the tactic worked perfectly.

Then I got protective of profits and took a breakfast break instead of playing the move all the way through. I missed another great push down, and then a decent long signal.

Jason posted not long ago that he made a trading decision he thought was related to showing a profit on this thread, and he decided to no longer post here. His comment stuck in the back of my mind all this time and after yesterday I realized that posting my P/L in public forum may well be one of the reasons I hesitate to trade valid setups once my morning profits are in place. Yesterday, I hesitated to take several solid technical setups because I already had a nice profit on the day and didn’t want to risk any of it. I can’t say that posting my daily P/L here didn’t have an influence on that. I don’t see how I can get to the next level if I become protective of an early profit and refuse to take trades where the odds are in my favor.

Because I’m out of the office the rest of market hours today and all day tomorrow, this will be my last P/L post. As Jason said, this is a business, this is how I make my living and I need to be totally in the game with no distractions.

Best of trading to everyone!
