Trader P/L 2009

Nice job Prop. Good to have you back.

Was out most of the day and only did a couple of trades with the new strat. Not much confidence there yet, and I'm thinking of sim trading it for a while. Then it's time for automation.

No apologies for the lame blotter. It is what it is. Especially on a short day.

Also, as a regular poster, I'd like to say that those bitching about the lack of numbers on this thread can officially kiss my ass. (Not talking about the guy the other day who was merely curious. I'm referring to mentions in other threads.)

You need to start somewhere, and the boys who were posting huge numbers in the past have stopped for various reasons, and I can't blame them. But they still post once in a while on good days, for inspiration, or even on bad days, because "it's only fair".

I trust the numbers of those guys, and I also appreciate the folks posting small numbers who are obviously working harder to improve (probably by multiples of ten) than those who bitch and don't post.

This thread is in the journal section for a reason. It's for those who want to to learn from their previous trades, and share their results. I personally post because I am constantly trying to improve on new strats as well as old, be they automated or whatever.

It's no secret that this shit is hard, especially recently. And if you are trying to improve, and if you have the balls (sorry Donna) to post every day regardless of results, then there are many hats off to you, regardless of your future results. Hats off to those who are willing to try.

My blotter for the day:

LMAO!

+$303 Day

+$853 Week

Lots of CL sim trading in the morning. It still scares me to try it live, but I’m doing very well in sim and at some point I’m going to simply place my hand on the real trading mouse and go for it.

Short ES @ 1095.00 pullback from a lower high; covered @ 1093.00 on pivot from below the lower channel line for +$95.20.

Short ES @ 1093.25 when 3rd attempt to break through the now-falling 20 EMA failed; covered @ 1089.00, pivot from deep lower channel line overshoot for $207.70.

Good enough for me, have a great weekend!

I suck.
Two more weeks of trading left this month.
Definitely starting to see that I'm more of a scalper than a position trader - most of my trades were green today and still lost on the day trying to get more when more was not availible.

Will try taking all my profits next week and see what happens.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Don't forget that if you didn't get a chance to buy a vet a beer two days ago they are stilling willing to accept one this weekend

As a non-vet, but the son of a Marine, I agree.

Strangely enough, he just stopped by looking for his battery charger, and asked me if I wanted to have a beer. So
I am now headed out to the parents' farm with a twelve pack.

Keep things in perspective people, and concentrate on what matters. (As far as I'm concerned, it's family).

Simply ran the API all day with no fills.

I'm done typing now. Nothing but numbers in the future. I promise. :D
