Trader P/L 2009

a fairly steady day for me, actually. testicularly (and acct balance)-challenged, so the net's nothing to be excited about. was pretty disciplined most trades and was disciplined enough to stop at the time i'm supposed to as per my new trading rules. still, it's SOOOO hard for me to stop. i'm watching the HSI move the 100 points i'd expected, and it's killing me that i stopped. that said, i'm fully cognizant of my abilities to lose considerable amounts of money even when i'm right, so that's some consolation...

nice steady month with a strong finish. appreciate you posting the detail. i have no exposure to such info from other traders, so it's interesting to get a feel for what others do.

as for it being 'piker pennies'. i felt the same way when i was making $25-30m per month, until i fell apart and dropped a couple hundred thousand. those piker pennies look pretty good about now! as with everything in life, it's all relative...
 
Overtrading is an understatement but it's been good to learn from.

I'll be focusing on larger/higher probability moves so I don't have another "40% of my loss = fees & commissions" day

up.....down...all around...finally clawed my back to green on the day.

narrow range days in ES are my toughest....doesn't match my style well.

The only thing I did yesterday was to sell out my UYG at 3.63 on the early pop. Evidently I should have alerted the world so someone else could have possibly taken advantage of the additional 10% freaking move I missed out on. Oh well.

Slow and steady again today. Sniper mentallity working well.
