Trader P/L 2009

Didnt post yesterday as the blotter was messed up due to a trade break. Blotter said -62k but was really -8k.

Today was better. Solid cash collecting with no rapes to speak of.

:) :D :)

Is it me or was today just a bad day to trade?

I kept having losing trades. I trade more of a trend strategy, but today was just so bad for that.

Anyone have similar results?

Yep, very similar results. Today sucked for trend traders since there was no follow-through on the setups:

It is the day before FOMC...

it's one thing to lose money thru poor trading, it's quite another to lose it because you're not paying attention. i am always flat when economic data is released and knew the consumer confidence report was hitting at 10am. i was managing a short trade very poorly and added to the position 10 seconds before the data hit; having totally lost track of time. short 6 DAX into the # and, boom, down $6m. fuck me. managed to repair some of the damage but, damn, i'm furious with myself.

was too pissed to post the blotter this morning. here it is:

Could you explain your blotter? For example, what is the -88k and the +340k? Is the bottom number with the checkmark your actual realized p/l? Sorry, I'm mildly retarded. :)

Those appear to be debit/credit balances of different currencies that he is trading which at the end of day will be washed back into dollars.

You wouldn't believe how many times I went over this with guys at name hedge funds...consider yourself in good company.
