last night:

1 step forward, 10 steps back. and to think i was up 6m @ one point.

get the feeling i will be posting the obituary for this account one of these days. amazing how i quickly have many of the top 25 losses on this thread for the year, but none of the top 100 gains. here, i'll type what you're all thinking, 'nice money management, asshole'...

i must have had the same helpless look in my eye that Stan had in imaginationland; watching ronald mcdonald looking for his severed arm.

Think I'll start posting my bad losses on this thread. Had a great month last month but so far, October has been brutal.

Started the morning up +880 then went on to pick bottoms. I wish all I got from it were smelly fingers.

Ended the day -9000.

<i>"...Accepted a last-minute invite to hunt caribou in far northern Quebec... last-minute preps today, depart wee hours tomorrow and then gone until next week. I expect to come back seeing the Dow up or down 1,000pts from present."</i>

It didn't take much clairvoyance to predict that. Charts look like you traded thru three - four FOMC events in my absence this week alone.

Before the tapes went absolutely ape-s(omething) we managed to log +4pts ES (premarket) 0pts, 0pts and +6pts for +10pts ES cumulative turning ten-lots. Both of the par-outs worked for nearly +4pts from entry before v-turns pounded them out. A slight loss in TF is reflected here, too.

Wild volatility = potential for wild equity curves... good and bad. Gotta pick your spots, be aggressive with defensive stops and definitely know when to fold 'em.

Done for the day. Good luck into the closing bell... it could be a doozy.
