Sorry to hear about Anek's parents. With RedInk and MM posting today, I figured I'd post my blotter as well (for the first time since ~Feb). Crazy day with the FNM/FRE and then UAUA news.
austinp: "Seriously, with no exceptions of anyone. Why don't all posts that claim profit results include a blotter that shows volume / contracts and/or best of all, T&S prints? Why would anyone show up here and risk one iota of doubt or being called out?"
No offense, but I think that's a poor idea. First if someone makes 3 trades during the day, then it's no big deal posting the execution window showing the fill times and shares/contract size and prices. However, let's face it, first of all, this can be faked as well, and in addition most traders do a much larger daily trade volume to make posting the individual trades silly. Do you really want to see the 500+ trade prints recorded by MilleniumMan, RedInk or myself today? Also, otherwise solid traders and respected posters would likely not be willing to share even their blotters under those terms, as others could have a better idea of their trading methods and reduce their edge.
"If $100+k profit makes for a decent morning today, who amongst anyone out there would be bashful to show details?" => Count me as one.
Certainly, there is a risk of people posting fake blotters, but those have been shown to be few and far between. There was even a discussion thread ~2 years ago discussing that topic. Even if you suspect that a blotter is fake, why not still believe the blotter, and let it inspire you to achieve better results yourself? That's the way I think this thread should be used, but for each his own.
I've never interacted with Anek and don't have a clue what kind of trader he is, and don't care. I believe his blotter (and don't care if I'm being fooled). In addition, it really doesn't matter to me if anyone believes my occasional blotter either. I post it today merely because it was an interesting day, and to enable me to be able to address this discussion on the thread legitimately.
