That dump was beneficial, but as usual I leave a truckload of cash on the table.

Learn to quit trading <b>too soon</b>... while you are comfortably ahead. Especially when it's coming back from being negative earlier. Your second time profitable from being red AND peak equity high for the day was good time to quit. Next time reward yourself and go play. You've proven you can be profitable. Easiest part is learning to keep it
Comb thru this very thread and last year's P&L thread. Count how many times various traders were up nicely for the day only to go negative into the final-hour or close. Learn from them... don't do that.
I couldn't make anything happen in ES today... stops got chopped out long & short on spikes & surges before tape went my way. Can't exit at profit targets if protective stops won't hold.
Did catch +5pts short in the ER2 this afternoon on a token contract for gas money. ER2 gives one - four chances each day at +5pt trades. Never know which day is stingy or generous. No big deal to average +3pts ER daily X 20 sessions per month x 1 ~ 5 contracts contracts for a decent living. Stopping while ahead keeps the equity curve smoothed.
Quit too soon unless it becomes an obvious trend day OR VIX climbs well above 20 again.
