I swore a lot less than usual today. This usually = decent cash.
good day, off to watch 6yr olds playing soccer. (best part of the day)

<b>Monday</b>
Started out short and holding for +5pts profit to the daily pivot point. For the third time in six sessions, ES and NQ tagged that price magnet while ER did not... turned abruptly and went the opposite direction.
Curiosly, buy signals in the ER (1min chart) blew away inside program slams before entries were possible. Three distinct flagpole ramps were pretty much all the movement. Nothing else went much of anywhere.
Started out trading two contracts, went in the hole -2pts net and never made it out from there. Went back to one contract in this account thru the afternoon, accomplished nothing but par stops long and short.

By 11am est I was up +$500 per ER contract, trading ones and twos.
By 3pm est I was right back to $0, period. A total range of 6pts from opening bell thru 2pm est? Four swings inside a 4pt true range? Are you freakin' kidding me? This is the ER we're talking about.
Went back to turning 1-lots and picked off +2pt, +1pt and +1pt going into the close. Two days, no gain. Same Mon ~ Tue sequence of events for the past four weeks straight.

At this moment in time, the ER reminds me of an ex-wife the first time we see her with another guy. One minute she looks so familiar, next minute she seems like a total stranger. As if we never knew her at all.
I've seen the ER do things in the past couple weeks not witnessed before. Don't know if it's VIX in the toilet, ER transition from CME to ICE, me losing my hair or some combination of the three.
In any event, ER ain't what she used to be. Nine sessions and +26pts logged here = about +3pts per session. Times past it'd be at least double that. Trading ER has become too much like work.
Back to primary focus on ES tomorrow, working ER as a secondary symbol. Pains me to see this symbol fading away, but it sure appears that way tonight.
