This isn't the toughest day I ever traded... but it ranks within the all-time top ten.
I won't even go into how many trades long or short went in favor, got run over, stopped too soon, came back too far, all of that. Volatility is nice, but gyrational violence is something otherwise.
July and August volatility was rolling and sweet. Nov volatility has been hairpin turns, gyrational chop and program-slam violence. I've been day trading since late 1999, even the period from 2000 thru 2003 was nothing like this.
+3.75pts ES on too many turns. +25pts ES cumulative for the week, could easily be +125pts if half the working trades I held in correct price direction held their #@%& stops.
But... beats a losing hand. No losing sessions this week or month (yet), just gross under-performance.
Done ranting now, time for a Blue Lite, bottle, no glass. Maybe even have two of them tonight <laugh>
