net -270 for the day. could be worse. I am actually happy with it because I didn't force myself to trade.

not a bad week overall.

Have a great weekend, everyone!! :)

Today's P&L: about $4200. It is a decent day considering that my Friday performance is usually below my average.

This week's total P&L: $29,000 and I am very happy with this week's trading.

Have a nice weekend!

I am so glad to have checked into this thread.

I scalp Crude (I started a thread titled "Some observations on scalping Crude" over at the Energy Futures Forum), sometimes ER2 and I have swing and scale trades on in stocks and in currency futures.

Monday I will start posting my daily Crude scalping P/L here. This will help me being disciplined. I am skilled and at this point my success is entirely dependent on controlling myself.

The Crude Oil contract is a trader's dream come true. If I added up the swings bigger then $100 traveled for the average day it would total over 15K perhaps even more. Commissions and fees are around $4 for a frequent trader. at IB. The bid/ask is $10 to $20

I have mainly two patterns for the trading day.
Most of the time I am ahead early in the day (8:30 -10:30 ET)and I quit or I should quit. If I don't quit very often I lose my bearings or get worn out and give it back.
Another kind of day is when I am careless in the morning and get serious once I am behind (unnecessary but true) and take the whole day sometimes to work into the black.
Thursday was a type of day that I don't experience often, I was preoccupied with other stuff and I was only watching the action from the corner of my eye but did quite well. Fewer trades but averaged more per lot than my usual rate. Go figure.

Regards,

GC
