Posting my numbers doesn't help my trading at all...but reading others does help motivate me to do better. This is why I participate in the thread, but just as a monthly summary. Hopefully some guys who are struggling can see what consistent trading can be, which is really the point.

Not to mention the number of threads asking if traders can actually succeed has reduced dramatically!
 
I find that by posting my blotter, I am able keep myself as motivated as possible, since I know if I was to do something 'dumb' during the day, all of my fellow traders will see it that night posted on ET.

I also find that it's useful for breaking plateaus; when you are able to see what your peers are doing, you strive that much more to trade your best.
 
The last three days have been some of my most profitable ever. This is today's futures PnL only. I still have several stock trades open. This latest trend in the eminis has been fantastic to say the least.

didnt get out of jnpr when i shorted the bottom. i double up, twice, then i had to take a loss.. went long... made back most of my losses. i didnt exit at 98... but a much lower price.

1 over night position.
 
My scalping habits became a crutch on a day like this. Most of the stocks on my list was on an uptrend the whole day. I keep getting in and out and missed $1+ moves. I need to really practice a longer term trading style.
