new worst day ever. got lifted for 50k in a single print very close to the high of the day. (position was close to 85,000 shares total).

sold 'em down to the low.

the specialist was a jerk on this one. saw the size change on the nyb, hit cancel he filled me 50k then 15k a few seconds later on a seperate print... sometimes you get the cancel, sometimes you don't and other times you get filled multiple times...

Here's the month of August. For my system I think it will have been the slowest month of the year. Overall not bad considering...

well......even after seeing MNX's blotter....i still feel like shit.....great way to start the month.....wow this is a big hole to dig myself out of........god damned specialist raped me good.....and i deserved every unpleasant thrust!

only posting cause its a new personal low......so dont be sayin i never post bad days!

i was testing a theory that when you get into a bad position with huge share size that a market order to the specialist would get filled at roughly the same loss as slowly piece by piece getting out of your position while the stock goes against you......i was wrong.....i sent a market order when the price was in .92-.97 range thinkin the specialist would fill it around the 15-20's........i could have easily gotten out around the 15-20's and saved myself 5-10k.......but lesson learned....and i dont mind sharing my painful lesson with you all! :)

Daaamn. I've actually wondered the exact same thing but was too afraid to test. Sorry to hear that.

I fully seconded mnx. It seems that new hybrid system is at work. Spec has more automated tool. My market orders always received FILL at the lowest and within seconds next PRINT would be much better prices.
