as a newguy (hence my name), posting here everyday would either bore, or depress you.
But today was nice. Account has been green since trading, and i've had decent days, but nothing like this. I'm holding my winners overnight, so i'll post the realized pnl tomorrow (hopefully more p then l)
Here are the stats, my first stick! (well, almost...get a little gap up action hopefully.)
893 unrealized, using 4 trades, 100 shares a piece. total volume was maybe 4000. pnl made up mostly from these four trades:
bsc 126.50 long $506
gs 142.25 long $ 187
nyx 54.2 long $30
slb 57.33 long $170
Lets hope this unrealized profit sticks around tomorrow so I can post the actual screen. (Gap up, then sell off? Gap up then rally? I guess it won't matter since i'll probably get chicken shit and just get out right at the open)
For a while, i used to think some of these pnl were fake. But now i can see how somebody might make some absurd sum intraday, like 10-30k position trading. I'm starting as a scalper, but i've been letting some scalps turn into positions lately. I guess if you're holding on, anything is possible instead of taking 10-40 cents everytime. (thinking about rearden's pnl swings makes everyone look small.)
