Trader P/L 2005

I traded 22,000 shares and ended up with $30 after commissions. (Before commissions, I had $124. This only means one thing: I was churning and grinding.)

Upon the advice of some more skilled traders who post to this thread, I took profits whenever I got 5-6 cents because the market wasn't moving. It was all the market was giving me. There were a few runs that got away from me, and I held longer; however, in the end, had I taken 5-8 cents at a time, I would've made more money today.

I'm glad to finish positive and I'm calling it a day. I can't make money in a market like this.

I don't even remember August being this bad. Maybe this is August, and they are just doing the Christmas ads earlier than usual? :-)
 
Had some luck on NYSE for a change. CHK and MO were good. MO gave me a quick 4 bills in 8 seconds that was nice. I might even start smoking to say thank you.

Made a lucky 2 bills in ORCL after the bell, new blotter.

Great thread. I need to set and commit to some targets and hopefully posting here I can get more competitive. Trading at home does tend to sedate your performance.

Anyway here's a small start.:D

Sorry guys but I am getting kinda sloppy/lazy posting the blotters here. Did not do a print out but today I am holding a fairly large postion overnight, which is one of 3 or 4 times a year i do. finished the day up about $9000 and hoping to cash out premarket up 2k to start the day. Looking for some MAJOR action tomorrow to end the week.
