everyones results on here are pretty inspiring, just decided to start putting mine up this week was weird doubled my best day on tuesday +500
worst day of trading wednesday - 360
thursday broke even
doubled my best day again on friday +1050
i mostly trade ford and emc, and try to throw a couple other ones in intraday

Zero for myself. Quite the opposite as im sure you know on NYSE. I give away hundreds in fees to the various service providers and the SEC everyday.

I wanted to do a poll about the %commissions/grossprofit

Looking at my monthly stats for 2005, in my case it never went under 20% (commissions are over 20% of gross profits), usually much more (trading US futures). And usually I trade lightly, 3-5 trades per day.

After all those years, US exchanges still make it like bandits from screen traders, keeping exchange fees for eminis ultra-high, to favor the pits and keep them alive. Not to mention other issues, e.g. CME ES/SP 0.25/0.1 ticksize diff, margins

I thought that traders would have welcomed EurexUS giving competition to them, but sofar its only potentially popular market, ER2/WR2 has failed to attract volume. (add: on the other hand, Eurex(us) could offer us a true T&S)

PS: I still couldn't find any P/L posted by futures traders in this thread

Hey SethArb

I guess that I could say that I am split even liquidity and gross.
Primarily I am a momentum trader but when days dont go my way (this last month) I try to churn out as much volume as I can.

I dont think that this style of trading will end anytime soon - and even if i does, just reevaluate the game plan and shoot from another angle.

Off-topic, but since I notice that many people post their screenshots in JPG format, I would like to remind you that PNG/GIF are much better suited (much lower filesize AND better quality/legibility) for charts and app screenshots, than JPG. You can see clearly that JPG causes "blur", e.g in mksummy posts

JPG is better suited for photographs.

PNG should be the choice for traders nowaday (as GIF had patent probs and some graphics creation sw has dropped support).

I had my best single day of the year trading Friday and I was not even at the computer. Here is what happened. I accidentally downloaded some piece of shit addware program called Aurora which started destroying my system on Thursdays. On thursday I was long 2500 BIDU all day and added another 500 around the low 80's. At the open on Friday I sold 1000 shares at 87 and rode the other 2K all the way up and still holding. Made 33K Friday sorry for no post but computer was being fixed and I only got it back Friday night. Man it felt like 98 I tell ya. My average cost is at 75 so I think I am going to hold on and ride this thing untill it buys me a new house ;-)

Those days of trading 150K a day are gone for me. Not that I can't, but I'm just a little puss - I play up to 80K a day (plus my holdings) and that's all I have the stomach for - that is until I build my portfolio to $1M next month :p

seriously though, I barely even do margin trading anymore.

I am fortunate to be trading a decent size account but you know anything in the green is good. Have not had a 150K day in a LONG LONG time but I will take 30+ ANY DAY :-). Thanks for the compliment I appreciate it.

lol. i think you misunderstood, i meant trading with 150K cash - not 150K profit. lol. I've never had that - EVER.

Maybe 1 day.

well, good luck with Bidu tomorrow. I see bidu possibly touching $150
