Sorry, guess I wasn't clear.

$750k-1mm per side in basket size (all positions included, not ea. position in the basket). I've been turning these over 10-20x per day. I've never done that kinda volume before, I just needed to go after it.

Yes, increased risk, but not by much....and I DEFINITELY have multiple exit doors if I get in a pinch, which is a key, underlying many of my systems.

Look at RMP index.....vs. S&P. RMP has been a lunatic lately, great volume, great swings. Add an edge, and your doing ok. :p
 
There are traders in the office I'm at that make the kind of coin and trading about the same volume as NBBO, so I don't doubt NBBO's and mk's numbers. It may be hard for some people to believe, but there are indeed traders who make good money in this business.
 
i diasgree. if a guy thinks these #'s are real and he pushes the envelope and buys huge postions "because all these other guys are doing it and killing it" and then he gets wiped out.there's guy son this board struggling making $200 a day saying man all these guys are making 5k a day i need to increase my share count to make it big. i can undderstand if all these incredible #'s were coming in 1999 and even 2000-2002 as the voliatility was incredible. but were talking a 12 vix environment with the market in a 200 pt rnage for 5 weeks. ones luck and accuracy would have to be magical

You are not kidding right, Sherlock? It would fall under the "some other reason" category. It's called rounding. It's actually a glitch in the banking system: they can't pay people fractional cent. :D

Agree.

I think most, if not all, of the doubters don't trade at a prop shop. If they do, they can just look at the leaderboard of the shop, or check with the risk management guys(they'll tell ya). There are guys consistently pull in between 2-5k most days of the week, sometimes nbbo's numbers.

If you're trading at a prob shop and don't see this kind of P/L's, I suggest you relocate to a different office/shop, because you're at a pikershop.

This is a common "inconsistency" when showing numbers to 2 decimal places when the actual numbers are more than 2 decimal places. You can replicate this in Excel and you'll see what's happening.

Cell A1: 1.504
Cell A2: 1.504
CellA3: =sum(A1:A2)

Make the cell formatting so that you show 2 decimal places. Then you will see

1.50
1.50
3.01

That's where the extra penny comes from.

if i dis-believed these guys' numbers i never would have gotten into trading to begin with. I never came into trading thinking there was a ceiling.

THERE IS NO CEILING. You can make as much or as little (or lose as much) as you want.

that is the beauty of it all.


you people who doubt have already failed, regardless of whether or not the blotters are true.
shake off the doubt and ask the simple question "how can i achieve that level of return?"

with that question, a door (or many doors) will appear before you. Now what do you do with a door?

thank you for taking the time to add up my numbers. Now since you know that the realtick software is unable calcualte fractional cents in my blotter wouldn't that almost prove to you that the numbers therefore have to be correct. Because if I was doctoring the numbers, like some of you suggest, dont you think I would of taken the time to add them up on a calculator and make sure they were right. you guys are seriously like x-files skeptical
 
this thread is losing its purpose and turning into a whiners pissing match. you guys are really restricting yourself in your thinking if you are one who believes that you can not make the same amount of money everyday and consistently like me. If you are in that mindset perhaps you should quit trading alltogether and find a job where mediocreness pays top dollar, because its not in trading that you will find that.
