Trader P/L 2005

Today I went short YM at 10622. Trade went wrong and I had a partial liquidation (1 of 2 contracts) at 10657 due to a margin call. My trading program didn't notice that and tried to cover 2 contracts at 10645, which resulted in a long position of 1, which I had to close manually.

Szeven take advantage of that BRUT while you can. It wont last but 6 more months or so and then they will go to charging again. They are trying to push their ECN on listed stuff which is why they are doing the free model right now. I pushed through almost 4 million the other day on BRUT and thanks to them it costs me nothin'. gotta love these ECN wars. But you know ARCA at .00/.001 and inet at .0009/.001 is still super cheap. I think when BRUT starts charging again they will go somewhere around that same pricing structure. Also BRUT is free on AMEX right now as well, which saved me about 500 bux in commissions yesterday on EAG when I was trading it. So take advantage of it while you can. they are routing everything right to the floor basically after a quick sweep of the book. Just like ISI imo

Now that i have figured out that i can pass through in the mean time and get free specialist fills, im considering trading LU, or any other low price high volume NYSE stock during the mid day period from 1130-130. (Maybe Q, NT, perhaps rite aid, dunno symbol)

I make most of my money in the first and last 90 minutes of the day taking advantage of large orders, volitility, and inefficiencies, but in teh mid day im lucky to get 30 bucks. I can flat 1500 shares for about $1.60 using this Brut order, so im thinking tommorow mid day i will post orders on both sides of the market if htere is no clear direction in LU, and then just either get filled on both sides, or flat my position and do it over and over. Providing there is enough volume and i employ some of the indications i use on EMC, i think this could net me more than my usual 30 or so bucks in the mid 2 hours.

want to thx everyone here, really learn alot, don't know shall i post my result as it is so ashamed compare to all yours, i make average of 20-60$ a day and early this one i make my 1st 100$ day, $120 actually.....

and i am a ny guy too at a prop firm, scalping mainly MU, L, EP, and trying out EMC today.

Szeven, if you want to looking for some barcode stock during lunchhour, try L, not too bad, good volume, avg 10m, but a bit expensive trading at ~$10 instead of $2-3 like LU.

No offense to Mk, but I'd say someone like yourself who trades multiple strategies, and is very profitable, is more of an inspiration to most..

nice opening. i see you added some nasdaq stocks to your oo basket. how have they been doing?
 
nice results lescor. its good to see others making nice change in the market. I think some are under the impression that I am a one trick pony. Please let me expand on my interpretation of the market everyda. there are opportunities everyday to trade and make money everyday. some days I dont trade LU(why I do not know) but those are days that I emplore other stategies that have been good to me. In all I have about 5 or 6 different weapons of trading that I can go to in any type of market. now why do I trade LU everyday, hmmmm, its simple---its easy to trade, I know I can make atleast 3k on it everyday, and its there. For now I will continue to trade it and make money on it. If it ever changes, like reverse splits or something like that, that is when knowing some other methods come in handy. alot of guys get crushed in the market when there one "thing" does not work anymore. Last year LU represented 34% of my profits. Now while that is a big percentage for one stock, it shows that my area of expertise goes way beyond one extremely liquid nyse stock. :)
maybe when LU slows down I can share some other methods with you guys.
