Trader Monthly

well. where can we red something "something of substance about the profession"

Quote from steve46:

It is "worth it" if you like glossy advertisements for luxury items.

If on the other hand you want to read something of substance about the profession, it is worthless (in my opinion).

It is similar to "People magazine" in the sense that it approaches the industry as though it were composed of celebrities, when in fact, they are as a group, rather boring. Even the wannabees are boring.

You certainly could spend the $100 on it, however they send it to me for free and I assume you can obtain it without charge if you want.

On the other hand, if you want to read pretensious fantasy oriented bullshit about trading, why not just skim Marketsurfer's thread "the surf report". You won't see pictures of luxury items because the guy doesn't have that kind of success, but the rest is all there...

Good luck
Steve

Sorry, are we talking about Trader Monthly or Golf Digest?

I asked to be taken off the mailing list. ( I was short emission contracts!!), but my requests were ignored.

If you're in the market for a private jet (typical TM ad), chances are, you made your money, and have it invested letting the others do the trading for you. Why would you want to read BS about some office monkey in a US bank with a lucky streak?

LOL took me a minute to realize that was your fireplace atticus!

Trader Monthly and SFO....I've never paid a cent for either one. I chuckle when I see them on the newsstand.

They send it to me free as well; in fact, I just got my issue today. All they want is for me to fill out a form telling them that I actually want to keep getting it for free.

Still wondering if it's worth my time.

I get FUTURES magazine free as well.

Great multi-purpose bathroom reading.
