If there are traders out there I can learn from, happy to learn. I am on a journey already. I wont be taking anyone's signals and it would be good to hear about strategies and tips others have so I can evaluate it to see if it works for me. Does that make sense? I am not in this for the short term and I am deadly serious.
If there is anyone out there that does want to share ideas, great and if not that is great too. I agree that trading is not a team sport, and its is possible for someone to keep you on the path though!!! The path we all have to walk to be a success is not easy and its not a short process.
If you have read this and thought, same story etc... ok.. I wish you the best trading week next week and if you want to get in touch, always want to talk to people to absorb their points of view and experiences.

Well that was something. Knowing it was a fail is a good result. You know what not to do. How has your experience in trading? How did it go for you? Did you have a good mentor? Who have you learnt from? What are your favourite trading styles? See lots of questions.....
I am a fast timeframe trader who loves shorting (Forex). Currently, I have an issue with reversals, so if anyone has tips on reversals, would welcome good knowledge on this.
I am less confident Longing a trade than Shorting a trade. I have been flipping coins in Crypto land for over three years and I have got fairly good at it. Reversals in forex, not used to yet.... so if there is help out there.. happy to learn...

What happen in your chat room to see a change like the above between August to February ?
By the way, in 2014 I notice many traders moving away to other social media formats like Stocktwits, Twitter or other real-time chat that offer info about the markets beyond just trade conversation. Also, those types of social media let traders give trade recommendations...essentially acting as a signal calling trade alert room without the penalty of one.
Simply, traders are attracted to that stuff instead of only talking about their own trades.
Just find a handful of good members and leave it like that because the old days of having hundreds of chat members is long gone unless you allow people to just lurk (say nothing useful) which is very popular these days with most chat rooms.

people lost interest, started dropping out, lack of activity, etc. too many different styles in one group. someone (i forgot who) suggested i limit it to people who trade a similar style. i think that would have helped.
Strongly agree because I've seen chat rooms that allow too many different trading styles (e.g. Forex traders, swing traders, futures traders, stock traders, day traders, scalpers, Option traders) go under fast because it becomes too much noise to others that don't have the same interest.
I visited a chat room once that was so popular...text messages were moving so fast like 20 - 40 messages per minute. I literally started getting dizzy just to look at the chat window.

Having somewhat similar styles is key. Otherwise, it just becomes a lot of noise. When the styles are similar, it can be more of a collaborative approach. I have a trading room on EchoFin and initially, like Remote, I was trying to get some traders in there but now it's really just me and 1 other person who are regulars, with one other guy who shows up when he can (but still has a similar style).
