Trader characteristics

Quote from wally_:

in one's system and that means also that you do not think in terms of individual trades but in terms of statistics. As Stalin once said: 'the death of an individual is a tragedy, but the death of millions is statistics'. With trading it's pretty much the way around, individual trades don't matter, what matters is their cumulative result.

Is it easy to believe in one's system? No, but without that you will never succeed.

As someone who was born and lived half his life in Moscow, I have to say that you have some balls quoting one of the worst people in the existence of human mankind.

funny.... I was born and raised in the US, but I agree with you completely! Was thinking the same thing when I read it.

Some people ain't got a bigger perspective on life... and to put that quote from that joker is an example of that!

The single most important thing I learned from trading for 5 years so far is:

Don't ask how much money you can make on a trade, rather ask how much you can loose.

This will put things in perspective for you.

And his inferences are stated backwards to boot!!.
