Own research can let you know a lot of things, but not all. Asking in forum may let you know a lot of things that you didn't know. No single human knows everything in the world. So are you saying an automated trading expert should know know every possible strategy?
I did a lot of own research and really tried out stuff too, but talking in forum did let me know a lot of things that I didn't know.
I talked a lot in my local house market and I learn a lot, it is definitely not something I can do my own research to learn from book or google. Those are experience and I didn't even know those "issues" then how to google? No book taught well about this at all too.
I am at a place with extremely strong housing market but nothing like USA. The land here is very limited.
