a long time ago i thought it was a metric to look at but no. I look at what the company does in a broad sense and think who or why is this relevant and who would buy it if they started stealing market share and what else do they do that gives them value besides the actual business.
Root for example. the app follows every move every driving habit. it will connect the dots between angry driving or happy driving and how and when and where you spend your time based on your emotions.

this custom tailor of your emotions will be incredibly forward thinking and they will get you to buy from the people they sell your real time data to. data is great when latent but way more actionable when real time.

root may be an auto insurance company buy the real money for them is in the data.

I did sell half of my position today for a 68% gain in 3 weeks. i will rebuy if we dip back below 20. If it continues into the 30s. I will buy more if it dips back to 25.

Root will be a major take over target rather quickly as it builds up data which also helps for the insurance risk. etc. wothin 2 years it bought by geico. who will use its data and systems to give other drivers cheaper rates by spying on their every move.

Bruh! As soon as I saw ROOT I thought of your thread. Dude I know it’s not good to look at money left on the table, but so far 2021 I’ve left sooooo much! Jezuz!!!

you can always get back in or only sell half and let the rest run. i had no idea root was going to 25 for sure. im back in again though around 19.90 amd i sold half at 25 picked up 10 a share. again i had an educated guess..thats all..u never really know.

“Always get back in” is the problem. I have a problem buying in once momentum has built up, which sounds weird. I feel much better buying the low, which sounds riskier but it’s not in my experience! “Catch the falling knife” is what I’m good at
