Do you trade mobile?
Please share your experience on
brokers providing mobile trading, mobile devices, mobile Internet access providers, etc.
I am thinking about IB's iTWS+iPhone+Verizon(or ATT)

I use my Iphone with Logmein. I can hook up directly with my trading machine at home, and trade all day long. Not the best to get into positions... but great to manage positions while out of the office. It is a great tool.

is the resolution of the remote screen the size of the iphone screen or of that of the remote computer (can you zoom in, etc)? how much data do you typically use in a trading day?
 
you can zoom in and out... if you shake the iphone, it will leap to the next screen...( I got 3 screens off my main machine). So it is truely usefull.
 
I'm a truck driver and I trade with my AT&T and T-Mobile BlackBerrys. AT&T has better coverage, but when they're weak, T-Mobile comes to the rescue.

I'm getting a little dissatisfied with my BlackBerrys, though, because the trackball sometimes get hung at the most crucial times. Since I hate touch screens, I don't want an iPhone.

Verizon Wireless' Motorola Droid got me exited, but the keyboard sucks, so I think I'll pass. (I was able to check it out at a Walmart.)

Regarding brokers, I have accounts at Scottrade, Charles Schwab, TD Ameritrade, and Fidelity - all of whom allow trading with mobile devices.

IB's iTWS times out after 10 minutes of inactivity, and then you need to enter the code from your security device to log back in.

ThinkOrSwim has a good mobile trader, and there is no 10 minute timeout. I opened a backup account at TOS just to avoid IB's 10 minute timeout.
