trade idea: short SPX, short EURJPY; with SL's and TP's :)

Just something i've noticed with intermarket analysis.

Two risk assets like those have a hard time moving together. Not to say they can't but if you already have a strong period of moving together so now it makes sense to "diverge". We'll see.

PS. It requires a good amount of discretion to trade like that.
Thx for sharing OP.

If the bet is that they will diverge, then why short both? Is it because one will fall at a different rate than the other (ie. They will diverge) so you pocket the spread?

The bet isn't that they will necessarily diverge, but that one or both will DECLINE.

2 losses so far.

Changing entries since BOTH trade higher and i want to take advantage of higher RR

So new entries are:
SPX 4420
EURJPY 162.72

SL's are the same, 40 and 50. Targets also the same, so RR has increased now. Cheers.

4 losses and new entries again. Same tp,s and sl's

So, eurjpy 163,73
Spx 4507

Losses accumulate but RR rises as well. Lets see

Im closing this with almost break even. Took 8 losses in total and made 400 pips with eurjpy which is 8 wins too. Lost on rollover. That's why i dont like the trade in long term. Cheers.
