Trade after work -- Trade HSI

ET99,

Thank you very much for sharing your HSI approach. I like your method, it's completely logical. I'll let you know how I do after getting some trades under the belt.

Quote from ET99:
What you have failed to observe is that the spread varies, from a narrow spread (as little as 1pt) to wide spread, then back to a narrow spread again... and the sequence repeats.

The spread varies for a reason.
If you don't understand the reason, then what you see is noise.
If you understand the reason, then what you see is signal.

ET99,

Wondering if you would care to elaborate on this.

Thanks,
Trayo

hi, How is the liquidity of mini MHI. Do you people trade MHI or HSI. Thanks

the liquidity is around the same as HSI as anything crossing the spread of HSI will normally get filed.

I've been looking at the HSI lately and i'm thinking about trading the MHI. I just have a 2 questions. is the first 15 minutes 945pm eastern time considered premarket ? also for some reason my charting platform's 30 minute chart starts at 945 and goes on 30 minute intervals ending in a 15 and 45 instead of mid hour and top of the hour is that normal or does that have to be changed? thanks

beware: there's premarket opening session before 9:45 am hkt in the morning session and before 2:30 pm hkt in the afternoon session

check with www.hkex.com.hk for details

I agree. I can trade the actual HSI from 9.45, 10.00 usually bringing a change in the price movements: more vigour in the previous direction or direction change, from what I've seen so far.
