Touts love to mention big options trades

For the past few years its been popular among news services to report big options trades as if they mean something .

So they report 200 of these prints a day , like they are doing you a favor.

Anyone find these tradeable , short term, beyond random noise?

Can you post a link as an example for today?

Yes... doesn't mean anything, because you don't know the interest.

Was it initiated by a buyer or seller? What (if any) was the hedge?

Same goes for put/call ratio reports... all BS...

Reactions: sle
Yesterday someone bought 2000 March $31 calls on Kroger right before the close (at the ask) for $1.75. OI was 70.

Kroger gapping down pre-market on lousy same store sales. Following this trade would have been a mistake ...for now at least.
