Dude, I was paying 100% over at Bright and probably 10,000% over at Worldco. Yes! LOL. My point is, nobody forced me to trade at Worldco or Bright for that matter. Hell, no one forced me into this industry. We are all adults here. People are smart enough to make up their own mind. I know many on here that actively trade with TOS even though TOS's commissions are 3 times that of IB!!!!!! Yet many on here do it. No is making them do it. They have their reasons.

You paid $40 a trade at bright ?

Well done, hope you complete the 2000 target.
How do you actually get into the trades? Do rely on TA, DOM, Market/Volume profile?

I rely primarily on TA. Unfortunately, it doesn't look good regarding the target or qualifying for a refund/redo, as I had a few rough days after a solid start and took several draws. I still have a few more days, so I will post a follow up once it's over.

----If these fills are very unrealistic, why would TST accept it as a valid measurement of one's trading ability?
It's better for TopStep to have a bias towards funding traders instead of erecting additional barriers to obtaining funding.

Where is this policy ?

I have a hard time finding it, but if I search Advanced google on TST it comes up under profiles:

http://www.google.ca/search?as_q=po...44,d.dmQ&fp=c4563eced8826a38&biw=1020&bih=431

"Additionally, it is recommended by the scout team that recruits do not hold a position into a major economic release (we suggest being flat on economic numbers releases indicated "

I guess, it is just a recommendation, not a strict rule...

Key word is "suggest".

... Another silly question: If these fills are very unrealistic, why would TST accept it as a valid measurement of one's trading ability?
Not so much silly, as ignorant and uninformed. The simulated fills seemed to me to be very realistic.

As one who has been in this field for a fair amount of time I offer that simulated fills are as phony as it gets. A firm who is looking to recruit traders could provide a real time feed and fills. It is a pretty simple matter of programming, but I get that is not the popular opinion. it is a matter of ending an order live or at a price point with simple parameters.
If they were really interested in finding the next money manager they could program it quickly and easily. If they are looking to make money off the masses then maybe they could find any number of reasons to claim, explain the story, and then find tools who go along with the story.
I also believe that making money is not illegal, but selling the crap is a problem. Buyer beware, and some of the people on ET who have proclaimed how good and honest they are, have been exposed.
My opinion, and I am willing to hear(read) otherwise.

Might I add, some of these tools have been ones I though had valid opinions, but as time goes on, and I learned about the industry, I get this is another forum where people get to pretend they know what they are talking about, or simply don't care care who they harm.
