No, it won't. Markets over react. There is a glut in oil in the world. Huge reserves are being discovered every so often. Shale oil in the US is all stored underground because there is no storage facility left to hold the oil. US shale oil can be pumped out and sold at higher prices in the short term. US exercising extreme restraint. We can destroy Iranian oil facilities and call it a day. US shale oil can easily take Iranian share of the oil markets. Without oil and sanctions, what would happen to Iran?

Well said mate. It was shameful when the US president had to tell European leaders to get their hands in their pockets and actually spend the defence budgets they had promised to.
