Top Economist: Americans Should Worry About Bank Deposits if Congress Doesn't Act

Quote from OldTrader:

Have you ever seen the Federal government of an agency of the Federal government, default on any type of obligation? One example will suffice.

Look up the precursor to FDIC, there is your primary example. Plenty of small ones also, like payments to Vietnam vets, current vets coming back and being shorted on their pay. How about FEMA checks, they are going quite well, hehe. Or the servicemen who were PROMISED they would be taken care of due to the health issues of 9/11 and nothing.

Hey, do what you want, some people are meant to be blind sheep. After all, Big Brother loves you, at least that's what they tell you.

YOU are the moron. I was responding to Paulson's quote you idiot.

I saw your response, and what you responded to. My comments stand. LOL.

FDIC was created in January, 1934. Help us all out here hydroblunt....who was the "precursor"? LOL.

Ah the FDIC. A great thing ain't it? Anti-big government people complain relentlessly about the Fed but not the FDIC yet the FDIC was created under the term of that FDR guy and his what could be termed as socialist policies.
