Compare the maps and focus on the states that the Donald turned red from blue as well as Ohio.
The red circles are coal mines that are closing down due to new regs. The blue squares and circles are coal mines that have to convert to stay open. In other words, spend money to meet new regs which probably means they fired a bunch of people to cover the cost.

Trump won it by about 60-40. IF the media were fair, he would have won upwards of 70%.
