Tony Stark: This election was not about anyone's education level

Government should be doing a lot less. Defense--yes. Infrastructure--yes. Some regulation--yes. Safety net for those who have legitimate need--yes. --and very little else.
You pretty much summed up what government is doing today, but the devil is in the details.

Liberals idea of compromise is us giving in to them, but slowly. On things like gun confiscation, they are ok not getting the whole thing at once. They are willing to compromise and get it in three steps instead of one. Republicans obstruct this process.

People like you are exactly why the divide is getting wider. Your mentality is I am right, and everyone else is wrong. The world does not work this way. People will rebel and tear our country apart if such course continues. And it makes no difference if rebellion start on the right or the left, the end result is a catastrophe.
My mentality is that the constitution is right and attempts to go against it need to be quashed with extreme prejudice. As far as divide--The country has always been divided except perhaps with regard to George Washington. James Monroe and WW's

We are winning by the way , slowly but surely. Right now, we are on the cusp of having enough state legislatures that proper constitutional amendments could actually be passed. We're that close.

So really the country is not moving left, a common complaint from the right.
Certainly the country is moving left, but it remains a center-right country. Illegal immigration is one of the main reasons for the shift to the left. What democrats don't get is that although there has been a shift to the left, most Americans have no interest in far left agendas like Olbammey's. --Or Clintons --Or Sanders. Votes in 2010, 2014 and 2016 have been a total repudiation of the Olebomma/Clinton doctrine and Dems had better wake up or they will lose for a generation. Right now, you have an Ultra Left candidate vying for DNC chair. ---Choosing him will doom the party further. Right now, the Tea party is winning.

Republicans stayed home in large numbers in 2012 and 2008 due to the weakness of our candidates . I suspect some stayed home as well due to Romney being Mormon. -- I didn't stay home but a lot did. -- Republicans have been waiting for a candidate that would fight and they had one this time.
