Tony Romo Is Done

The most overrated QB of all time is done. Good. Now we are stuck listening to him announce games.

I have been hearing for the last several months that there was a Tony Romo sweepstakes and pretty much every team in the league was clamoring to sign him. It turns out, nobody was interested in him, in the first place. The Tony Romo sweepstakes that the media was reporting was nothing but fake news.

Good riddance.

The next fraud to get rid of is Philip Rivers.

I don't think he is overrated. He had 34,000 yards passing and a career rating of 97%.
His stats would have been higher if he had not been injured so much the last 3,4 years.

He was a good QB. It's just that one year they were weak on the offensive line, then the next year it was Defense and then it was Receivers and then it was Coaching (Wade Philips). They never managed to get it all together.

But they filled in the gaps last year and DAK Prescott was firing on all cylinders when Romo got injured in game 1.

Romo is a good guy on and off the field.

If we had made it to the Superbowl people would think more highly of him.

But hey..........he is married to a former model, lives in a beautiful home, made 100MN+ during his NFL career and now he is an announcer for CBS Sports.

He is doing good for himself.

What are you talking about with receivers? He had Jason Witten for his entire career. He had TO for the majority of his career. Tom Brady never had a combo like that. Look at those stellar receivers Tom Brady just won a Superbowl with.

Jason Witten is excellent. I think he has played in 3, 4 Pro Bowls and he will probably make the Hall of Fame. Witten and Romo are best friends. The local press always gives them a hard time because they always hang out together off the field and are seen talking to each other during a game.

Terrell Owens was around for a few years but he was a drama queen. He did well for the Cowboys but his best years in football existed before he arrived in Dallas. When he was wearing a Cowboy uniform the news that circulated around him were about him whining about the ball not being thrown to him enough and once he cried on air about Romo throwing it too hard.

T.O. did some good things for Dallas. He rushed for 1,000 yards each year he played for the team. But he would have been a better player if he had been a better person. But...he will probably make the Hall of Fame.

Dallas has had several outstanding players for the last several years. It's just that when they excelled in one area, they lacked in another, like protecting the QB or the Defense not being able to break the line or cover the other teams' receivers.

One thing I will say for T.O. though.......he is/was probably the most physically fit player in the NFL. They had several pics of him with his shirt off and he looked like a Greek god or Mr. Olympia. He was well cut and well proportioned.

You think TO will 'probably' make the HOF? TO has to be in the top 5 receivers of all time. Certainty, he is behind Jerry Rice, but you can make an argument for him as #2. He is a Hall of Famer on a bad day.

"Probably make the HOF"? Geez, he should... #2 all time in receiving yards.
