tomorrow is rollover day

Quote from failed_trad3r:

I don't have this problem, my screen is continuous contract that rollsover automaticly.
what does it do if you have something on?

I have no idea I don't trade:confused:
good for you, because I have heard (don't know it for a fact) that 90% of those that do lose, they just lose (has something to do with higher education.)

that's right. I don't trade ES anymore, but I keep it up on my screen. You would think a competent trader would know these things, but even when I was following every tick, everynow and then I would wake up and wonder, "Where did everybody go?"

Laugh if you want, it's just a nice courtesy and kind of an oldtime tradition on ET.

Somebody would always post a heads up on rollout day.

thanks

The old and new contracts still mimic each other for the next day or so, and as the volume keeps dropping you would eventually figure it out. But you're right. Should stop daydreaming and pay attention to details. These last few day however have been boring as hell. Slow.
Hard to keep awake.

Calm before the storm?

Absolutely. Everybody is simply waiting around for the shit to hit the fan. Which it will. And then it will be like a fire in a crowded theater. Right now the crowd is waiting for QE3. Which most likely will happen before the election to try and juice this farce a little further up. But come on, everyone knows this is fake and is taking advantage of it while they can. And the heat is on to try and lure the public back into the market while it tops out. I am in cash, or when in a position I keep my finger on the destruct button, ready to get out in a moments notice.

+1. i'm going to share w/ everyone who has trouble remembering to switch car months an incredible tool that is free, available to everyone and will change your life forever - an "alert" if you will that can be set up in a free online calendar or phone. seriously guys there is no excuse for "forgetting" to rollover - just go to cme.com, find the rollover dates for the next year, enter them into the calendar and be done w/ it. happy trading.

Well it's that time again ! Rollover to the "U" contract tomorrow 9:30AM Eastern time. For all of you ES, YM, and NQ freaks. Don't forget to set your alarm clocks.
