Tom lee says 500k for bitcoin....tulip mania is just beautiful, isn't it??

I think gold, as a store of wealth, stood the test of time somewhat longer than digital currencies created out of thin air or puzzles. So perhaps an equivalence does not quite apply. Plus it has industrial application quite apart from its use in jewelry, which will not likely lose favor anytime soon.

I don't know how to use the multi-quote feature.

Imagine starting to hoard gold in an enormous, secret, underground vault in Egypt,100 years before its value was recognised and demand for jewellery and statues began.

Your family would be holidaying with the Rothschilds today.

When they ridiculed you but you bask in your correctness.

For better or worse, bitcoin is now a part of the US stock market through 11 ETF's

I encourage everyone who has an opinion that bitcoin is worthless or has the same value as a Tulip to short any of the bitcoin spot etf, probably should look into the gbtc one

Soon, they will have options for more fun. Good luck

BLACKROCK CEO LARRY FINK SAYS BITCOIN "IS AN ASSET CLASS THAT PROTECTS YOU"
The worlds largest asset manager CEO says Bitcoin is no different that what gold represented for thousands of years.

In a notable statement, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink has expressed a positive perspective on Bitcoin during an interview today with CNBC, affirming that it "is an asset that protects you."

"I believe it goes up if the world is frightened, if the people have fearful geopolitical risks, they're fearful of their own risks," said Fink. "It's no different than what gold represented over thousands of years. It is an asset class that protects you."

Fink's recognition of Bitcoin as a protective asset suggests helps shift the narrative surrounding the digital currency, emphasizing its role as a safeguard amid economic uncertainties. This endorsement from the head of the world's largest asset management firm is a significant milestone for Bitcoin's acceptance within mainstream financial circles.

"Unlike gold where we manufacture new gold, we're almost at the ceiling of the amount of Bitcoin that can be created," Fink continued. "What we're trying to do is offer an instrument that can store wealth."

Proven store of value? Look at how much gold wealth has deteriorated against bitcoin in just 3 years! Even with the large swings, with 3k in bitcoin a few years ago your investment would be worth 40k. If you put it in gold your investment would be worth only 6k up from 3k lol. The dinosaur logo should be put on the gold chart...

And this is your definition of a store of value standing the test of time?

To be fair, the Dutch had their stock exchange already in 1602.

Futures (forwards) contracts for Tulips began to implode on February 1637 (just a few years after the bubble started).

Commodity regulators re-wrote some of the (existing) contracts to convert them from futures into options, thus giving the buyer of contracts a way out to walk away without having to be obligated.

Tom Lee is a boot licker, and has no analytical acumen. He called for the SP to end at 5100 at end of 2022. He then said the same thing for 2023...He's a pointless Asian.
