Tom Brady Skips Patriots’ White House Visit Along With Numerous Teammates

Like many sports teams before them, the New England Patriots visited the White House, where they met President Trump on Wednesday afternoon to celebrate their Super Bowl victory. But two dozen or more members of the team, including quarterback Tom Brady, were not on hand, and some of them explicitly cited politics as their reason.

The visit came the same day that a former Patriot, Aaron Hernandez, hanged himself in prison, where he was serving a life sentence for murder.

Trump joined what appeared to be about several dozen players on the South Lawn of the White House. The Boston Globe reported that 34 players attended.

Trump heaped praise on the Patriots — “No team has been this good for this long.” He also could not resist making allusions to his campaign.

“With your backs against the wall, and the pundits — good old pundits, Boy they’re wrong a lot aren’t they? — saying you couldn’t do it, the game was over, you pulled off the greatest Super Bowl comeback of all time.”

Trump singled out several players, including wide receiver Danny Amendola, calling for them to raise their hands or step forward for acknowledgment. But Amendola was one of those who was not present.

"Tom Brady did not attend, saying in a statement Wednesday that he is attending to “personal family matters.” Trump did not mention Brady in his remarks.

Martellus Bennett, Chris Long, Devin McCourty, Dont’a Hightower, Alan Branch, and LeGarrette Blount were not at the ceremony, saying previously that they do not agree with either Trump’s behavior or his policies.

Also not in the photo above are Brandon Bolden, Dion Lewis, James White, Danny Amendola, Michael Floyd, Vincent Valentine, Barkevious Mingo, Malcolm Butler, Patrick Chung, Duron Harmon, Logan Ryan, Cyrus Jones, Ryan Allen, Jonathan Freeny, Tre’ Jackson, Greg Scruggs, Chris Barker, Tyler Gaffney, Woodrow Hamilton, and Devin Lucien, according to a count by the Providence Journal’s Mark Daniels."

Donald Trump Disses Tom Brady ... Doesn't Mention QB's Name

4/19/2017 11:22 AM PDT

Seems Donald Trump isn't happy with Tom Brady -- because he didn't mention the QB's name ONCE at the White House ceremony honoring the New England Patriots.

Of course, Brady did not attend the ceremony, citing "personal family matters" -- shocking considering the two were supposedly friends.

Donald Trump has sung Brady's praises publicly on numerous occasions, saying he is the greatest QB who ever lived -- so for him to go radio silent during the ceremony sends a strong message ... he's pissed.

By the way, Trump shouted out a bunch of Patriots players by name including Danny Amendola, Julian Edelman, Matt Slater, Malcolm Mitchell and Trey Flowers.

Did they get white house staffers to fill in after the team pic because 27 team members were no shows?

Like shooting fish in a barrel.

The reason is because Trump bought, sold, and is still selling the idea that Assad bombed his own children with chemicals, even though he is on the verge of winning a war conventionally.

That's why Brady had family matters to attend to, and many others.

Doesn't matter who sold that stupid idea to Trump. He plays 5D chess, so it's HIS idea.

He needs to rectify it before many of us will go another mile on the Trump train.

What a stupid conclusion. Because Trump focused on the team that was there and didn't mention anyone not there, he's pissed at Brady. Clickbait with fake news headlines. Right up AK Forty Seven's alley.
