Todays massive up move in the market

The market is 1 part coherent logic and 9 parts nonesense. This is the biggest casino. Just because the roulette wheel hit red the last 10 times in a row does not mean it will hit red the next spin.

so i should totally not pay attention to the economy and economic news and instead focus on my lucky coin :D

Rate cut means slow down expected hence lesser demand for commodities.
 
The odds that Obama will launch QE3 leading up to the election are about 99.9%. What other tools do they have at their disposal to try and win the election?

QE3 will make the market look better than it is. The US public will think that the economy is improving and they will have a chance at re-election.

If you believe anything else, you are very naive.

Obama will not win the election, he can try whatever he wants. Economy is not on his side.

Sure it is. Look at the stock market, its surged since he became president, must mean the economy has got so much better.
