i thought the nail in the coffin was the jobs report...i doubled up on that one.
 
I think we saw from today to what extent markets are manipulated.
They swang the market back and forth 5-10 times within 30 minutes it seemed,
all for the purpose of shaking out anyone trying to hitch a ride.
My conclusion: don't make your buying and selling decisions in front of the computer screen.

my time horizon is a little longer than just today, but i figure that todays action means little, and we will continue up leading into expiration.

Are you both telling me when the market started going up mad right after the announcement you still felt confident about your positions? I know I tried to hitch a ride, and would assume any/every other retail trader with a quick platform also tried.
 
I got absolutely crushed yesterday.
closed my short before announcement for a small profit, then went long after announcement and got caught in the downspike sold at about -90 ym

ouch indeed
