Today, would you invest in a bank or wait 2 years to buy cheap property from that bank??

Your dreaming if you think real estate rices crumbling . If you don't believe the fed will pay off every mortgage and let people live rent free your in dreamland . They'll stop at nothing to make sure asset prices don't fall much.As long as the $'s king they have an open checkbook.
How'd things work out the last time in 07, 08, 09? They had same open checkbook.

I don't think investing in that particular is good idea.
pffff.
And what do you know may I ask? Ever done it? Ever owned a bar? Ever flipped a license? How many U.S. states have you resided in and how many (in your residence there) have you even dreamed about having enough money to even play this game?!
Whatever.
Keep daytrading, you'll hit the mother-lode for sure.

Buy a dead shopping mall and convert it into a leasable warehouse. Because of growing ecommerce logistics demand, that was the #1 segment of commercial the last few years and I imagine going forward as well.

But personally I have no appetite for all that. I'll stick to short term trading.

Anything that can be done with dead retail space, especially malls.... has already been considered years ago.
There are no new ideas in that regard.

NBRC. (Nothing but Roller Coasters). Malls have a large footprint. And the biggest reason most folks go to an amusement park is for the quick and easy thrill of the roller coaster. So just compact a bunch of fun roller coasters into the mall space. We don't need the huge Nitro or Batman and Robin rides. Just a bunch of smaller quicker rides for everyone to get their adrenaline fix?, closer to home?

A trip to Six Flags is truly an adventure. For most folks those parks are hours and hours away. How about mini-sixers, with nothing but coasters?

@ON... I mean no disrespect brother... but you guys really need to stick with your aspirations of success in trading the ES or NQ... or whatever. MES, MNQ.

In the end my friend.... it all comes down to cash flow/sqf,,,, quarter over quarter.... when we're talking about about commercial retail. Be it a building or a parking lot.

Yeah roller-coasters are fun buddy.... but somehow I suspect that's not the panacea in this case nor the OP's holy grail.

Your post ticks me off because it brought back some bad memories of this damned song which I HATED to hear on a constant loop in the Musak list of the store I used to work in. OMG hate you, but love ya' the same.

DIE you evil devil for making me remember this song.

I was thinking of something very very simple and basic. How about buy a small used car lot...7-11,000 sq ft lot. Have an office (2-300 sq ft.) that meets 2020 commercial standards (ADA, door, bathroom). Lease it to someone who is in the business. Or have a commercial real estate agent do the lease (I's dotted T's crossed).

I was also looking at townhouses/condos, but in CA with interest rates low, quality places are selling quickly.
