Today In Dishonest Fox News Graphics

So you have a problem with cherry picking favorable stats? Did you happen to miss the DNC?

dems claim 4.5 million jobs created.

The figure of 4.5 million jobs is accurate if you look at the most favorable period and category for the administration. But overall, there are still fewer people working now than when Obama took office at the height of the recession.

Quote from Free Thinker:

fox calls itself fair and balanced. the FB should be changed to Full of Bs.still i can tell some here on et just eat it up:

Fox used a dishonest comparison of two different measures of unemployment to suggest the unemployment rate has nearly doubled since President Obama took office.

During a segment criticizing the Obama administration for its messaging on the economy, a Fox & Friends graphic claimed that the "real unemployment rate" had increased from 7.8% in 2009 to 14.7% now:

Where, indeed? Fox has quite the history when it comes to presenting misleading unemployment data to its viewers:
¡Last December, Fox News presented a distorted chart detailing the monthly unemployment rates during 2011, which had the November unemployment rate of 8.6 percent plotted on the same line as the previous month's 9 percent, and higher than the 8.8 percent rate from March 2011.
¡Earlier in December, Fox aired a misleading graphic announcing the unemployment rate dropping from 9 percent to 8.6 percent by... showing the old 9 percent rate with a red arrow pointing down, without a mention of the then-current rate of 8.6 percent.
¡In June 2010, Fox aired a misleading chart which purported to show "job loss by quarter," but really just picked random months and completely distorted the scale of its chart.

UPDATE: On September 12, Fox & Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade said he wanted "to clarify" the graphic displayed the previous day. Co-host Gretchen Carlson then noted that the unemployment rate had not, in fact, increased from 7.8 percent to 14.7 percent during Obama's time in office.

The figure of 4.5 million jobs is accurate.

Simple sample of Fox news editing. Thanks for confirming this.

Just too easy, thanks.

Wow, yet another well thought retort from Luke. Thanks for the smiles.

Let me/us know when/if you ever find some intellectual honesty.

Have it, always have, now your turn. I don't expect you to really try to win discussions with me, nor do I care. I just don't appreciate all the silly nonsense. Try to join the adults in conversations. That's all I ask.

I tried to help with RCG, and still not sure if I should be reprimanding him, but may have to. Why? Because of the one time you showed me an adult discussion. Try it more often. It's a lot more fun than playing these games.

I made a long well documented post with RCG's lies. And yet you're still unsure to call him out? You wouldn't recognize intellectual honesty if someone beat you over the head with it. Come back to me when you have the balls and lack of partisanship to call a spade a spade.

See the other thread, I am asking, one last time, for RCG to explain his mention of flying lessons, and where and when his parents moved in the last year. And, whatever else was significant to you.

Please RCG, let me know your side. Thanks.

Funny
